Passing on the Knowledge

“We are very happy to have met Violeta! She is an excellent teacher and musician with warm personality and great knowledge that puts violin technique in an absolute service of music.
Her extremely intense and inspired work has helped a lot our 13 years old daughter, Boglárka Erdös , to prepare for concerts as a soloist with orchestra and win the Dutch National Violin Competition in 2010.”

“…Coming to your Master Class in January 2010 in Dubrovnik, just a week before my orchestra audition, helped me tremendously to polish my playing, get focused and play the best I can on such an important day. Thank you Violeta .”

“After graduating from the Academy of Arts in Split in Violeta Smailovic-Huart’s violin class I won a job in Centre for Musical Arts in Dubai. Starting out my 3-month probation period as a violin teacher was at first quite scary:  I had no experience teaching little kids and I knew how important is to “start them on the right track”. Responsibility was all on me! I asked Violeta for advice. She said:” I understand you, it must be difficult to start so many new little students. Well, let’s see… violin is still in left and bow in right hand even if kid is very small. Just keep in mind that a freedom of the movement is the key to success in playing, no matter the age and no matter the instrument. Transfer your “serious talk” to “talk about dolls, airplanes and cats”, play with kids, even become a kid when with them. …but be still very demanding, with smile… Anyways, with all you know about violin, you cannot go wrong.”
My probation period is over, I have more and more students and I signed up recently for a long-term contract. I am very happy with my job. ”
